The maximum penalty for federal posting violations is now over $36,00
June 2021: The final rule issued by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) that increased the maximum penalty for failure to post, or improperly posting the "EEO is the Law" poster just went into go into effect.
Federal regulations require the DOL to adjust its penalties for inflation each year. Employers can stay in compliance by conspicuously displaying up-to-date labor law posters in areas where employees are able to view them.
